<empty> Your TV as Display

Your TV is a display

Start thinking of your TV as a DISPLAY rather than a whole and complete piece of equipment. That is, it’s time to think of your TV as more than the place where you get the news or your favorite TV shows. This will help you to understand how and why different devices/components hook up to your TV.

Your TV can display all the devices in the picture to your left.

  • New TVs include the ability to watch and hear---

•Precious photos from the memory card of your digital camera
•Pictures and Music that are stored on your computer and sent by ethernet to the display
•“ Streaming” music and movie trailers from the internet

  • So, you see…TVs are no longer a stand-alone appliance. Today, there are a large variety of sources for your entertainment.
